E-commerce Workflow

E-commerce workflow is the navigation setup of all the processes that happen on an e-commerce platform. Right from a user landing on the platform to the user making a purchase and making the payment, all the flows that initiate and complete these processes are called e-commerce workflows.

Apart from purchases, there are also other e-commerce workflows such as registration, password setup and recovery, deleting an account, making payment, creating a user profile, editing and updating the user profile and all other such processes are also set up with an e-commerce workflow.

These E-commerce workflows are essential as they are can be a major contributing factor in delivering a seamless and delightful user experience to e-store customers. If the workflows are not designed in an ideal or delightful manner, it can lead to decreased conversion ratio and increased bounce rate. For some platforms, it can also become a reason to abandon the platform altogether and create a negative brand image of the platform.
